Welcome to Magee Elementary School
CAFETERIA INSTRUCTION FOR CASH PROCEDURES:

These are our cash procedures:

The CDC is recommending that we do not exchange monies during meal

servings. Parents can pre-pay on myschoolbucks.com or they can send money with their student to school. If a child brings money for meals to school, it must be in a sealed envelope with the child' s name, teacher name and amount of money enclosed in the envelope. A lunch money drop-box will be provided at the front entrance of the school for students to drop their money in each morning. The money will be retrieved from the lock box by 8:30 am and posted to the child's account before lunch. Parents may not bring money to the cafeteria.

MESSAGE FROM CHILD NUTRITION CONCERNING LUNCH APPLICATIONS

Dear Parents and Guardians:

On Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, students without a completed 2023-2024 Household Application for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals began paying full price for breakfast and lunch.

The “carry-over meal status” associated with meal applications from the 2022-2023 School Year expired, resulting in students, who have not completed a meal application for the current school year of 2023-2024, having to pay full price.

If you have not done so already, we encourage you to complete a 2023-2024 Household Meal Application to see if your child is eligible for free or reduced-price meals for this current school year. The meal applications can be completed at www.myschoolapps.com.

For questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Child Nutrition at 601-847-8000.

Sincerely,

Dr. Derricka Thomas,

Director of Child Nutrition
