Camping in Kindergarten 🏕️ Mrs. Higgins’s class had a fun-filled day camping right in the classroom! Their room was transformed into a cozy campground complete with colorful tents, campfire stories, and lots of exciting camping-themed activities. Of course, no camping trip would be complete without s’mores! The students ended their day roasting marshmallows and enjoying a delicious s’mores snack. What a sweet way to wrap up a day of learning and fun! 🍫

Magee Elementary was excited and proud to congratulate our students who participated in the math competition today. These students worked hard, represented our school well, and showed great determination and effort. We are proud of each of them for their dedication and accomplishments!

Awards Ceremony

Due to the threat of severe weather expected in our area this afternoon, Simpson County School District will dismiss early today, Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Elementary schools will dismiss at 2:00 PM. Middle and high schools will dismiss at 2:30 PM.

All after-school activities and events scheduled for today are canceled.

They enjoyed learning about the important roles our community heroes play in keeping us safe each and every day. Mrs. Higgins’s kindergarten class has been buzzing with excitement as they explored life cycles! 🐛🦋 Students observed the amazing transformation of a butterfly—from caterpillar to chrysalis to beautiful butterfly. Today, they celebrated the end of their unit by releasing their butterflies into the world! The learning didn’t stop there—these young scientists have already begun exploring plant life cycles. They had a great time getting their hands dirty planting their very own cups of flower seeds! 🌱🌸

Attention 3rd Grade Parents! Magee Elementary would like to remind you that the 3rd GATE Test will take place tomorrow, April 14. Please ensure that your child arrives on time and is well-rested and ready for testing. Our students have worked extremely hard to reach this point, and we are so proud of their dedication and effort! Let’s encourage them to do their very best—we know they will shine! 🌟
